TaoZen Retreat 2024:
“In the Shadow of Mt Fuji”

October 21 – 25

Join us in Japan this Autumn for Meditation and Qigong

Inner Passion & Inner Strength:

Fusion of Five Elements Meditation &
Achala Qigong & Dream Practice

The Place:

The name translates to “The Feeling Place” in Gotemba.  Quiet and lovely, our practice room has a wall of windows looking out to a classic view of Mt. Fuji. In Japanese style, rooms will be three to four person, clean and quiet. The Feeling Place is near a famous outlet shopping center which lets us benefit from frequent, direct transportation from the airports and Tokyo, then only a short taxi ride to our temporary home.  For more images, here is their website:

With a view of Mt. Fuji in front of us, in a huge open space, we will enjoy Meditation, Qigong and Dreams, and waking up our authentic inner passion and strength together.

Fusion of Five Element Meditation:

The Five Elements are wood, fire, earth, metal and water, yet they all come from one source. With visualization, intention and breath, we will purify each element and fuse them together to enhance the original life power.

The Five Elements can be physical, mental, spiritual.

We will focus on our inner world first then expand into daily life: to our human relationships, to nature, and to the cosmic world.

This mediation is dynamic and holds vast Vision and the Wisdom.

It’s advised that you have practiced the Six Healing Sounds and some basic Meditation, if you are a very beginner, please let us know, We will guide you so that you will not be lost during this retreat.

Inner Strength Achala Qigong:

This movement practice consists of 12 beautiful movements, based on traditional Qigong and Marshal Arts.  In a practice only 7 minutes long, it offers deep mythological messages.

With graceful movements with deep breathing, it cultivates physical strength, inner strength and sureness. This Achala Qigong can be a mirror of our favorite Kuan Yin Gigong. They are Yin and Yang: Inner passion and strength vs. inner compassion training.

Qigong beginners and those with any physical situation ae most welcome. You will learn this wonderful Qigong that requires only seven minutes and very little space in this retreat.

TaoZen Dream Practice:

Dreams hold deep suggestions, messages and wisdoms. We will practice how to dream , how to remember, and how to contemplate them. We will experience our individual subconscious mind, our colelective consciousness and more. Dreams can be agreat way to reevaluate our life and being.

Healthy and delicious Food:

Food has always been an important part of TaoZen retreats! Our favorite Japanese chef will prepare our meals with mainly local organic food. She will cook for lunch and dinner, mainly in a traditional Japanese style. Breakfast will be a simple western way. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know before hand. We will accomodate your needs as much we can.

We are planning a little outing to Toraya sweet factory/shop, which originated about 500 years ago and a Japanese garden.

We are also looking into a separate, optional trip to Kyoto after the retreat for anyone interested.  Details on that will follow soon.
