Happy Lunar New Year

The Year of the Yin Water RabbitThis year’s zodiac is Rabbit. It is the year of 癸卯.癸 means Yin water. 卯 means opening, revealing, and also, it is playfully applied to “Rabbit.”
For many Chinese people, the New Year starts on January 23rd. For some other traditions, the New Year begins on the first day of Spring by the Lunar Calendar. This year it’s February 4th. I personally celebrate the New Year on January 1st socially, and celebrate on Feb. 4th, spiritually and Qi-wise.

Yin-Water suggests North, Wisdom, Rain, Dew…
Rabbit suggests East, Yin-Wood, Opening, Revealing…

Many things will open, be revealed, be discovered: both good things and bad, outside and inside. It can be chaotic, it can be a new chapter: New discoveries, new generations, new ideas will be important. True wisdom, the real essence of things will be very important. Learning and contemplating will be crucial. Daily commitments and practice will also be important.

Key words for this New Year are ‘Being in a good mood and being with Wisdom.’

Love and Light,

Are you a Yin Water Rabbit (or Know Someone Who Is?)
Those born in the year of the Water Rabbit are calm and unassertive. Anyone can influence them because they would be happy just living a peaceful and simple life. It’s possible for them to grow dependent on others and to suffer when their loved ones are trying to distance themselves from them.
It’s not necessary to take things into their own hands because they prefer to let others rule. While they know how to solve problems, they just have no idea how to be independent. And this can influence how much success they will have in life.
